In this update, we’re introducing
new editor features that support structured writing,
enhanced settings for a more customizable writing environment,
and an announcement regarding the end of the image generation beta.
You can now create and edit tables directly in the editor, making it easier to organize information and structure your writing.
Flexible editing
After inserting a table, you can freely add or remove rows and columns.

We have decided to end the beta for the image generation feature.
The feature was available for approximately one week, during which we received valuable feedback from many users.
As a tool built for writers, Novela places the highest priority on respecting creators and the creative ecosystem.
Through the beta, we confirmed that image generation AI raises significant concerns around training data and copyright, and that the current implementation does not yet meet the standards we believe are necessary.
For this reason, we have ended the beta and will take time to carefully review the feedback and copyright-related considerations.
We will revisit this feature at a more prepared and responsible point in the future.
You now have more control over the width and layout of the writing canvas.
Custom width input
Instead of choosing only preset sizes, you can now enter a custom width between 200px and 2000px, allowing finer control based on your workspace.
New size presets added
Paperwhite mode: Optimized for e-reader viewing
A5 size: A commonly used print format for publishing
You can preview how your writing will look in these formats while you work.
